The Syndicate

Shares in our syndicated horses are commonly in 1/10th's, 1/12th's or 1/20th's. Shares start from a couple of thousand dollars and go right up to ten or twenty thousand dollars per share depending on what we pay for a particular horse and how many shares are offered. We usually have shares for sale at any given time at prices to suit everyone. The daily cost for a 1/20th share is around $4.50/day.

We charge FIXED FEES so that you'll know exactly what you're up for rather than having them fluctuating when a horse is in and out of work. The fees which are billed quarterly, are inclusive of the following; Breaking In, stabling, racing, floating and transportation within the horse's home state, agistment, normal vet services, jockeys fees (other than prizemoney percentages), raceclub fees, gear, colours and all communications for the syndicate.

Social Functions:

It's true that many of our clients join us JUST FOR THE SOCIAL FUNCTIONS! Your syndicate membership entitles you to complimentary tickets to our fully catered raceday functions at major racecourses around Australia. A syndicate member with a 1/20th share is entitled to one free ticket for each function. A syndicate member with a 1/10th or 1/12th share is entitled to two free tickets.

Throughout the year, we also organise regular off track events such as stable open days, river cruises, Sunday afternoon BBQ's and even restaurant nights to further enhance the entertainment and pleasure of owning a share in a Belhus horse.

Racing Colours:

All Belhus syndicated horses race in the registered team colours of Royal Blue, White Star, checked sleeves and cap.

Naming Rights:

All new members of a racing syndicate are invited to submit suitable names for the horse(s).

Stakemoney:

All stakemoney is paid out to shareholders at the end of each month that the cheque is received from the appropriate raceclub.
