Age Shall Not Weary Him...

Veteran 9YO gelding Mustard (Vettori-Altezza, by Rigoletto) showed that age hasn't slowed him down just yet when he resumed from a 10-weeks break to score a half-length victory in the $100,000 Gr3 Concorde Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on Saturday. Mustard (ridden by Darren Beadman for trainer John McNair) defeated 4YO mare Regal Cheer (Arena-Regal Chamber, by Archregent) & 5YO gelding Fox Lake (Shovhog-Round Lake, by Mustin Lake).

A $16,000 yearling in 1995, Mustard now has 13 wins & 21 placings from 69 starts for $555,717 in prizemoney!
