The Weekends Best Bets

There's no city meeting in Melbourne on Saturday due to the Grand Final being on, and therein lies our best bet. Not that I know a lot about Aussie Rules, but The West Coast Eagles look the best of good things! They're odds on, so let's try and find you some punting money on Friday night at Moonnee Valley to lob into the Eagles on an all up doubles basis.

BEST FAVOURITE:
We've all been waiting for Churchill Downs to show us his best, and after two runs this time in, this most impressive looking racehorse should stand up at Moonee Valley tonight. He's in race 6, The Bill Stutt Stakes, and having been placed at the track previously, looks the goods tonight. You'll probably get 5/2 about him, so jump on the David Hayes bandwagon and you should see Churchill Downs to the fore under lights tonight!

BEST EACH WAY:
Dizelle is capable of anything on her day and she runs in the Queens Cup at Randwick on Saturday. She'll be spot on for this event after a last start closing sixth in the Kingston Town Stakes, and this $800,000+ stake earner looks suited here on her way to bigger and better races. With master trainer John Hawkes and Australia's best jockey Darren Beadman on your side, she looks a sound bet.

BEST "SNEAKER":
I spotted one at the trials the other day that's running at York, (WA provincial track) on Sunday. It's in race 5, number 1, and it's name is Fractional. Paul Harvey rode it in the trial and it was "well held" to the line when finishing fourth. An apprentice jumps on board for this race and the 3kg claim will help. He's a former Eastern Stater having his first start in the state, and if it handles the tricky York track, it'll be winning.
